Born in the UK but are not British
IfMoved to the UK
Married to or in a civil partnership with a British citizen
Have indefinite leave to remain (ILR)
To apply for citizenship with ILR you must usually have lived in the UK for 12 months after getting it.
You have ‘permanent residence’ status
IfFrom the EU, EEA or Switzerland, you usually get permanent residence status automatically after living in the UK for 5 years.

You should prove your understanding of English Language by having either:
In rare certain circumstances you do not need to prove your knowledge of English.
You also need to pass the Life in the UK Test. You need to take the test as part of your application for British citizenship or settlement in the UK. Test cost you £50

After submitting your application you will be contacted by letter asking for biometric information and must to pay £19.20 for Fingerprints and Photo taken in Post Office.
