To visit United Kingdom you need to apply for Standard Visitor Visa. 

If you plan to travel for leisure, such as  holiday or to visit your family and friends, for business trip or to receive private medical treatment you need this type of visa.

Standard Visitor Visa has replaced previously Family Visitor visa, General Visitor visa, Child Visitor visa, Business Visitor visa, including visas for academics, doctors and dentists, Sports Visitor visa, Entertainer Visitor visa, Prospective Entrepreneur visa, Private Medical Treatment Visitor visa and Approved Destination Status (ADS) visa. 

• You can Stay in the UK for up to 6 months and in certain circumstances for up to 12 months where you must apply for a biometric residence permit.

You may need to visit the UK regularly

• If you intend to visit the UK often over the future, you need to apply for a long-term Standard Visitor visa that would valid for 2, 5 or 10 years where you can stay for a maximum of 6 months on each time.
